Book Buyback Information

When

Monday, May 12 - 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, May 13 - 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 14 - 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 15 - 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday, May 16 - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 17 - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Why

The DelVal bookstore conducts book buyback for two simple reasons:

1) To offer DelVal students cash for books that they no longer need.

2)  To have an ample supply of used books available for the upcoming semester. Remember: if we don't buy your books we have to buy them from a used book company. If they don't have the books we need, we have to buy them new. That is more expensive for everyone.

How Much

The textbook(s) you sell us will fall into one of three categories:

1) The DelVal bookstore will pay you 50% of the new price (even if you bought it used) if your book is being used here at DelVal next semester and the bookstore needs additional copies of your textbook (we utilize past selling results as well as the latest enrollment figures from the Registrar's office).

2) You can get some of your money back if your book is not being used at DelVal (or we bought enough copies back), but it does have sufficient wholesale demand.

3) You won't get any money back if your book has gone into a new edition (publishers have been coming out with new editions every 2-3 years), if the wholesale company is overstocked and doesn't need your book or if your book has been damaged and is not in condition to be sold.
