Outcomes Assessment Workshop
Delaware Valley College hosted Dr. Rebecca Burton and Dr. Dena Lieberman, faculty experts from Alverno College, at an Outcomes Assessment Workshop held on May 18, 2004.
Alverno College, a liberal arts college located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an enrollment of 2160 students, is one of about 66 women’s colleges in the United States.
Dr. Burton is a behavioral ecologist with interests in science education and environmental science. She received her B.S. from The Evergreen State College, her M.A. in zoology from the University of Montana and her Ph.D. in ecology from Kansas State University.
Dr. Lieberman is an Associate Professor and the Coordinator of the Business and Management Major at Alverno College. She is a member of the Alverno Council for Student Assessment and has been a presenter at numerous assessment workshops. Dr. Lieberman holds a B.A. from Syracuse University, an MBA from Marquette University and a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Topics covered in the workshop included assessment design and the development of discipline and course specific outcomes.
