Special Admissions

Delaware Valley College admits a limited number of students who express a need for academic improvement in relation to our entrance requirements but still show a strong desire toward a particular program.

The CHOICES program allows these students to complete courses relevant to areas where scholastic achievement must improve. Students must pass College Reading (LA0015), Developmental English (EN0012) and/or Basic Mathematics (MP0010) before continuing on in to additional English or Mathematics courses.

Students are limited to no more than 14 credits during their first semester; Academic Strategies (ED0016) is required during this first semester. CHOICES is monitored by a program coordinator, who evaluates student progress during his or her first semester to help schedule the following semesters with the student.

Due to the nature of the program, a student may require more than the traditional eight semesters of study before applying for graduation.
