Majors

Soils & Environmental Science Major focuses on watershed management, water quality, soil conservation and land-use impact. Most graduates deal with land, soil and/or water.

Crop Science Major focuses on plant science, field crop production, plant breeding and soils. Graduates become plant scientists, extension agents, farm consultants, and research scientists. Students that have an interest in biology and chemistry do well in the major--you don't have to be from a farm.

Turf Management Major prepares students for careers in the golf course, sports turf and lawn care industries. Students get a strong background in plant science, soils and turf management.
