From January to August of 2004, Dr. Doug Linde conducted a golf course benchmarking project for the New Zealand Sports Turf Institute (NZSTI). He traveled to all regions in New Zealand and collected course conditioning data from 50 golf courses. Some of the parameters measured were green speed, green firmness, tee levelness, tee slope, bunker firmness, sand depth, approach firmness, and collar firmness. Data were used to create a database that will be used by the NZSTI to advise golf clubs more appropriately. For more information please contact Dr. Linde. Read the article "Benchmarking golf course conditions in New Zealand" or "Assessing golf course conditions in New Zealand."
