Our Facilities
The education experience goes beyond textbook learning; the Small Animal Science Center laboratories in both Allman and Mandell are federally-licensed, environmentally-controlled instructional laboratories. The animal quarters house a wide variety of species, including mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, amphibians, reptiles and fish. In our Mandell facility, DelVal students enjoy a partnership with the Thomas Jefferson University Center for Biomedical Research.
This partnership combines academic research with DelVal's proven undergraduate programs. Our students can take advantage of research and laboratory opportunities usually associated only with large research institutions. An additional facility on campus, the Research Center, houses a natural history museum of skulls and wildlife mounts; it also supports laboratory work with cell-tissue cultures, histology and biotechnology.
