Conservation and Wildlife Management

The Conservation and Wildlife Management faculty understand that no environment exists in a bubble. For this reason, we emphasize the management of entire ecosystems.

The curriculum stresses the application of broad biological principles to control and conserve wildlife. Graduates of the program will understand the array of factors that affect habitat conservation. They will be able to devise and implement safe, effective and appropriate procedures for restoring endangered populations to viable levels.

Students will learn the taxonomy, behavior, systematics and ecology of our native wildlife. Laboratories emphasize field techniques and a hands-on approach to learning conservation.
