Dr. Bortnick joined the Biology faculty of Delaware Valley College in the fall of 1997. He has previously taught at the University of Arkansas (Botany), University of Northern Colorado (Microbiology) and Louisiana State University - Alexandria (Botany, Biology and Microbiology). Dr. Bortnick currently teaches Biological Sciences and Botany. His research has centered on the cell biology, taxonomy, ecology of fungi and fungal protists and biological control agents. He is currently conducting a survey of fungi in the area and examining the ecology of fungal protists.
