Bachelor Candidates:
All bachelor's degree candidates must complete a 500 hour hands-on applied learning experience in a job(s) that is directly related to their major field of study, with the exception of the following Education Majors: Biology, Chemistry, English, General Science, Mathematics and Social Studies (as well as Continuing Ed students). For this mandatory experiential learning component, students receive 4 academic credits.
Associate Candidates:
Equine Studies and Culinary students are required to complete 250 hours for 2 credits.
Transfer Students (60 or more credits transferred):
250 hours for 2 credits
Dual Degree/ Majors:
Students pursuing dual degrees or dual majors may complete all 500 hours in the major of their choice, or they may choose to split the hours between the two degrees/majors, subject to the approval of the department chairs of the two majors.
