Web governance committees - A comparative analysis of how small, medium and large institutions attempt to regulate the Web content, marketing and accessibility of information on their Web site pages. Qualitative information regarding committee structure and mission will be obtained from Webmaster/ Web content manager interviews. Quantitative surveys determining the effectiveness of the committees will be distributed to a sample of committee members.
Departmental site development - Examination of departmental Web page artifacts will yield information about how computer science departments present themselves to various types of audiences and what type of information are included on the departmental pages.
Higher educational Web standards - This survey of Web sites of higher educational institutions will scrutinize how Web design standards are incorporated and will quantitatively analyze percent compliance.
Student and faculty perceptions of inter-institutional Web sites - Web sites will be analyzed to see what the effect of creating schools, institutions, departments, centers for education, etc. within an institution has on student and faculty perceptions.
