Online Courses
Online Student Requirements
- Be a disciplined, self-motivated student.
- Provide a valid email address to . if you are a Continuing Ed. Student or activate your DelVal email account if you are a Fulltime Day Student.
- Have access to Microsoft Office 2000 or higher.
- Have access to your own personal computer that meets the system requirements
- Pay a mandatory $96 distance-learning lab fee per course.
How Online Courses Work
Register for an online course as you would a conventional course: through Webadvisor if you’re a returning student, or in-person at the registrar’s counter, by phone at 215-489-2973, by fax at 215-230-2962, or mail (Office of Registrar, Delaware Valley College, 700 East Butler Avenue, Doylestown, PA 18901). Online courses always end in section “-276” and list their location as “OL”.
IMPORTANT!
- Day students will receive their online course log-in information at their DelVal email address. Contact Technology Services at 215-489-2342 if you haven’t activated your account yet.
- Continuing Education students must send a valid email address to as soon as they register for an online course to receive their log-in information. A few weeks before the start of the semester, we will email you a letter with your username, password, and the web address where you can find your online course.
- All DelVal Online courses run on the same schedule as the evening school schedule. There is a beginning and end to each semester of online courses, just like a conventional class.

Point your browser to http://delval.blackboard.com to access your course(s).
Costs
The tuition cost to enroll in an Online Course is the same as it would be for an on-campus Continuing Ed. Course, plus the $96 Distance Education fee. All the procedures and policies governing courses offered through Delaware Valley College also apply to Online Courses (i.e. late fees, withdrawals, etc.)
Full-time Delaware Valley College day students (paying full-time tuition) who are carrying 16 or fewer credits may enroll in Online Courses at no additional tuition charge (the $96 Distance Education Fee still applies, however).
Full-time students should consult with their advisors prior to registering for the Online Course to determine their eligibility.
