Four Easy Steps

  1. Apply for admission to Delaware Valley College. Most colleges will not offer you financial aid unless you have been admitted.

  2. The next step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Mail or file the FAFSA online, found at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please do this as soon as possible after January 1 of your senior year and you have filed your current year income tax forms. Your parents will need to complete their tax forms in order to provide necessary income information on the financial aid form. Indicate on your form that you want the analysis sent to Delaware Valley College (Federal College Code 003252). The information you provide on the FAFSA will be processed to determine your eligibility for grants, work-study programs and loans.

  3. Once we have received your application data and you have been accepted to DelVal, the Office of Financial Aid will determine your eligibility for financial assistance from federal, state and DelVal resources. Financial aid will vary depending on the program you are interested in, high school grades, SAT scores and your financial eligibility in relation to other applicants.

  4. Your financial plan will be packaged and sent to you. You are encouraged to discuss the package with a Financial Aid Counselor if you have questions about the material. The packages are awarded on both a need and non-need basis with funds from institutional, state, federal and private sources. Resources include scholarships, grants, gift assistance, employment and loans.
