AALAS Format

AALAS Format for Animal Biotechnology & Conservation Majors

Note: In January 2006, the AALAS adopted the CBE (Council of Biological Editors) citation style. Examples given below reflect this change.

References

  • Cite references in the text using Arabic numerals in parentheses and in alphabetical order under References at the end of the text.
  • Use Index Medicus abbreviations for journal titles. (Record for journal includes abbreviation.)
  • Provide the names of all authors for each citation.
  • Identify all authors by surnames followed by initials.


Examples:

Journals. To cite a paper in a journal, use the following format:

    If the journal was accessed online, add the following information at the end of the citation.
    Database name, database URL, date you accessed the article.

Books. To cite a book, use the following format:
