Three-Plus-One Program

For the student planning a career in veterinary medicine, an undergraduate education in livestock science and management provides the opportunity to obtain "hands-on" training in the handling and feeding of the various animal species will prove to be of value in your future career. Due to the competitive nature of Veterinary School admission, a GPA of 3.5 should be maintained in addition to veterinary work experience, and involvement in campus activities. Additionally, the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or VCAT exams are required for application. Most students take the GRE the first time as juniors.

Our "Three-plus-One" program is available for students who earn early admission to professional schools and are accepted at the end of their junior year at DelVal. In order to be granted the Bachelor of Science degree from Delaware Valley College, students in the "Three-plus-One" program must have earned a minimum of 96 credits, including 38 DelVal core requirement credits.
