Growing up as a golf course superintendent's son on Wedgewood Golf Course in Allentown, PA, Dr. Linde developed a love for golf and its playing field at an early age. His career goal to become a superintendent changed upon graduation from Delaware Valley College. After completing his graduate education from The Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Linde returned to Delaware Valley College to teach three new turf management courses: Golf Course Design & Construction, Topographical Surveying and Irrigation Technology.

Dr. Linde also coaches the golf team, advises the Turf Club and supervises the turf-research facility and putting green on campus. Dr. Linde received the Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year Award in 2003 and was awarded the 2005 "Golf Coach of of the Year" award for the NCAA Div. III Freedom Conference. Dr. Linde is also a golf course and sports field consultant.
