For Current Students Only- Updated March 31, 2008
As many of you are aware, the interest in on-campus housing has continued to rise over the past few years. For the 2008-2009 academic year, it is expected that demand for on-campus housing will likely exceed capacity. In light of this, our present housing process was reviewed and revised, where appropriate, to reflect this continued increase in demand.
Criteria for Participation in the Housing Assignment Process:
- Payment of the $400.00 Housing and Registration Deposit by March 17, 2008. Payments are to be made or sent to the Bursar's Office. Please do not send payments to the Office of Residence Life.
- Be in Good Disciplinary Standing.
- Be a present full-time student and registered for a minimum of 12 credits for the 2008 Fall Semester no later than April 12, 2008.
- You must attend designated Housing Assignment Night or arrange to have a student attend with a Proxy Form.
A student can not participate in the Housing Assignment Process if one or more of the following items apply:
- Late Deposits (deposits received or postmarked after March 17, 2008).
- A student who is presently on Non-Degree Status. If a student is placed on Non-Degree Status after housing assignments are made, the student's assignment will be voided.
- A student who has attended DelVal for 7 semesters or more at the completion of the 2007 Fall Semester. A student can request a waiver of this requirement. All requests must be in written form and presented to the Assistant Dean of students no later than Friday, April 4, 2008.
- If the student is not presently full-time and is not registered for a minimum of 12 credits for the 2008 Fall Semester by April 12, 2008.
- No student, who is expecting to graduate in May of 2008, may participate in the Housing Process. If an expecting graduating Senior participates in the Housing Process, his/her room assignment — as well as that of his/her roommates — will become null and void.
