Elizabeth Kolar joined the faculty in the Department of Business and Information Management at Delaware Valley University in 2004. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). In addition to her in-class support of students, she conducts mock interviews for accounting students, advises students, and places DelVal students in internships and full-time positions nationally.
Kolar is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the American Accounting Association (AAA), and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). She has held teaching positions at Bucks County Community College, Seton Hall and Pace Universities. Prior to her teaching career, Kolar was a senior auditor with Coopers & Lybrand in New York.
In 2008, Kolar was named Outstanding Educator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). The honor recognizes full-time Pennsylvania college and university accounting educators who have distinguished themselves in the classroom setting and are actively involved in the accounting profession. She also received the Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year Award that year from the DelVal community.
In 2009, she was awarded the American Society of Women Accountants Northeast Region Business Woman of the Year Award.
