Christopher Walter

Clinical Coordinator & Adjunct Faculty

Mr. Walter is a licensed professional counselor in PA. He brings 30+ years of experience in the field of counseling to his role as full-time clinical coordinator of the GCP program. Mr. Walter obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in in Community Counseling from Arcadia University. He obtained his LPC (PA) in 2006 and a Certificate in Transpersonal Psychology and Breathwork in 2014. Mr. Walter has experience in inpatient and outpatient settings, with adolescents and adults, and with mandated and voluntary clients, via individual, couple, and group work.

In his role as clinical coordinator, he supports each student individually in their search for the right Practicum and Internship. Emphasis is placed on fit, professional goals, autonomy, and other dimensions and needs unique to the student. He also serves as clinical liaison for the program’s community field placement partners. In this way, each student receives personalized support during the entirety of their clinical field placement experience.

In addition to his role as clinical coordinator, Mr. Walter teaches or has taught the following courses: Practicum, Internship II, Group Counseling, Sexualities, Psychology of Gender, and Introduction to Psychology.

Since 2014, Mr. Walter has been on the board of MPCAC (Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council); currently, he is the secretary.

Additionally, Mr. Walter has had a private psychotherapy practice in Doylestown, PA since 2006, where his areas of expertise and interests are in trauma, sexuality and gender, spiritual emergence, mindfulness, and integration therapy. He has offered Breath workshops in the Philadelphia and New York regions as well as oversees. In Fall 2021, Mr. Walter will begin assisting in a 2-year international Breathwork Training program.
