There are many opportunities on and off-campus for you to gain real-world experience in agribusiness. In addition to truly 'hands-on' opportunities on our farms, you will have opportunities to gain experience at regional companies in agribusiness, travel abroad, and more.


All DelVal students are required to complete a minimum of two (2) Experience360 (E360) activities - one activity from Group A and one activity from Group B; in order to complete four academic E360 credits. One of these credits will be completed through the DelVal Experience II (FY-9901) course.

GROUP A

  • Career Exploration Experience: EX-2010 (1-3 credits; 40 hours = 1 credit)
  • Internship: EX-3010 (3 credits / 120 hours)
  • Study Abroad (0-3 credits; as approved by Department Chair)
    • Career Exploration Experience Abroad: EX-2010 (1-3 credits; 40 hours = 1 credit)
    • Credit transfer from credit-bearing exchange programs and provider programs as course substitution for E360 requirements (Department chair approval required, credits vary)

GROUP B

  • Career Exploration Experience: EX-2010 (1-3 credits; 40 hours = 1 credit)
  • Internship: EX-3010 (3 credits / 120 hours)
  • Study Abroad (0-3 credits; as approved by Department Chair)
    • Career Exploration Experience Abroad: EX-2010 (1-3 credits; 40 hours = 1 credit)
    • Credit transfer from credit-bearing exchange programs and provider programs as course substitution for E360 requirements (Department chair approval required, credits vary)
    • International Experiential Learning Course(s):
      • Global Field Studies: PS-3227, LAES-3227, PS-9912 (previously PS 9900)
    • Cultural Experience Abroad: EX-0025 (non-credit)
  • Campus Leadership Training: LA-1223 (1 credit) – Peer Mentors for DelVal Experience
