The mission of Caesar’s Cupboard is to provide necessary personal care items and some basic non-perishable food options to DelVal students experiencing food and/or hygiene insecurity. Caesar’s Cupboard is a free service for students who self-identify as needing the items stocked in the Cupboard. Students will not have to demonstrate or prove their need.
Supporting the Cupboard:
We have been very appreciative to the DelVal community who have expressed interest in ensuring that Caesar’s Cupboard stays full! There are a few different ways you can support:
- Monetary Donations: You can give a monetary donation via the Development Office. Select “Other” under the Designation, then write Caesar’s Cupboard on the following line.
- You can send a check (written to Delaware Valley University with Caesar’s Cupboard on the memo line) to the Development Office (via the mail, inter-office mail, or by dropping it off in the President's house).
- Gift Card: You can send an Amazon gift card that will be used to purchase more items for the cupboard. You can send this via inter-office mail to Justin Brouse or you can send an electronic gift card to involvement@delval.edu. We will complete a gift-in-kind form for your donation.
- Amazon Wish List: You can purchase items off of the Caesar’s Cupboard Amazon wish list. As long as you include your name on the order, we will complete a gift-in-kind form for your donation.
Accessing the Cupboard:
Students can request items using the Caesar’s Cupboard Request Form. Once requested, the items are packaged and delivered to the mail center for pickup, just like any other package. Students will receive an email from involvement@delval.edu when the order is ready to be picked up. The process is completely anonymous, and staff members are trained to ensure confidentiality. If students have a question about the items offered, they can email involvement@delval.edu. Please note, if a student needs food assistance beyond what is offered by Caesar’s Cupboard, they can visit: www.bcoc.org/i-need-help-with/food-2/food-program/.
