Dora D. Eaton is the clinical coordinator of the Graduate Counseling Psychology (GCP) program, overseeing all aspects of students’ field placements with an emphasis on student advising, placement success and program support. She has also taught the Advanced Child Psychopathology and Wellness course in the GCP program. 

Eaton has previously worked in higher education student engagement where she had the opportunity to supervise student staff, create spiritual development programming, support faith-based initiatives, advise student clubs and facilitate alternative spring break events.  She is a master’s-level trained LPC in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida. Eaton is part of a collaborative clinical practice where she provides comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has completed core and advanced clinical trainings in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and was drawn to DBT for its focus on radical genuineness, validation, and collaboration with clients to help them to build their life worth living.  

When not at work, Eaton enjoys going out with friends to listen to live music, relaxing with her trusty dog, Oliver, and spending time with her family!

  • MS in Community and Trauma Counseling from Thomas Jefferson University
