Melissa Van Hoof

Melissa Van Hoof is a certified Physician Assistant and Principal Faculty Member at Delaware Valley University.  Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1999 at Marquette University and her Masters in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant training at Duke University in 2002.  Melissa has over 20 years of experience as a surgical Physician Assistant working in general surgery, bariatric surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, surgical oncology, pediatric surgery, congenital heart surgery, and trauma surgery, where she remains in practice.  Throughout her clinical career, she has been passionate about quality improvement projects, served as a Team STEPPS Master Trainer, and served as a preceptor to many PA students over the past 2 decades. 

A proud local, Melissa enjoys spending her free time with her husband, their four children, and their energetic dog, Ginny.
