Spark Bowl is a prime example of the many hands-on learning opportunities available to DelVal students. Leading up to and throughout the competition, DelVal students serve as business consultants for the competing teams. Students assist businesses with pitch preparation, go-to-market plans, marketing strategy and general advice. The mutually beneficial partnership helps these startups prepare for the competition and provides students the opportunity to work hands-on with a real business.
Last year’s first place, $12,000 winner was Bottimals, bottle-lovey designed to help moms and families with infant bottle refusal. Second place went to Mojoz GummiCone along with $6,000, and BH Botanicals received third place and $3,000. The students assisting the teams also received monetary awards for their efforts.
