A-Day at DelVal Returns This Month

Posted on

Delaware Valley University invites the community to attend its 76th Annual A-Day, a long-standing campus tradition celebrating agriculture, education and hands-on learning. This three-day agricultural fair will take place on DelVal’s main campus April 24-26 and is open to the public.

A-Day offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience agriculture up close through interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and family-friendly activities. Guests can enjoy livestock shows, educational displays and hands-on animal experiences that highlight the importance of agriculture in everyday life.

A-Day also welcomes back many returning vendors who have become a staple of the event, offering guests a wide selection of handcrafted goods, local foods and unique products. From artisan home décor to specialty treats, these vendors bring a vibrant marketplace atmosphere to campus and continue to be a highlight for attendees each year. A must-visit stop at the fair is the iconic milkshake stand hosted by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association. Known statewide, these farm-fresh milkshakes are a fan favorite and draw long lines of visitors eager to enjoy a classic taste of Pennsylvania agriculture. Their presence at A-Day not only adds to the experience but also helps promote and support the state’s dairy industry.

New to this year’s event, the DelVal History Department will present a special America 250 exhibit, offering attendees a chance to explore and reflect on the nation’s agricultural roots and historical milestones leading up to the United States’ 250th anniversary. In addition, guests can enjoy the return of crowd-favorite demonstrations, including the blacksmith demonstration, tree climbing demonstrations, and many more interactive experiences that showcase traditional and modern agricultural skills.

For over 75 years, A-Day has been supported by local businesses and community members, helping to sustain and grow this beloved tradition. Sponsorship opportunities remain available for businesses looking to connect with the community and support agricultural education.

A-Day continues to be one of the region’s largest student-run agricultural events, bringing together students, families and industry professionals for a weekend that celebrates the past, present and future of agriculture.
