Chloe Sees '21, a Delaware Valley University agriculture education major, was selected as the 2018 Pennsylvania State Collegiate Farm Bureau Discussion Meet Champion. Sees will compete in Nationals in Milwaukee in March.

Discussion meet contestants were put in situations where they had to analyze agricultural problems and decide on possible solutions to resolve those problems. The discussion meet is designed to help participants build communication skills, develop an understanding of important agricultural issues, and explore how groups can pool resources to reach a consensus and solve problems. The winner of the contest is the person who does the best job of articulating messages that provide meaningful suggestions or resolutions to address those problems.

"Pennsylvania Farm Bureau believes it is critical for the future of agriculture to have young people who are not only informed about key issues but are also willing to speak to the public and policymakers about the importance of those issues," said Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Media and Strategic Communications Director Mark O'Neill.
