DelVal Announces Election of Marlene De la Cruz to Board of Trustees
Delaware Valley University announced the election of Marlene De la Cruz to its Board of Trustees. De la Cruz previously served on the Board from 2016 to 2020 and brings a longstanding relationship with the University, along with extensive leadership experience.
De la Cruz’s history with DelVal spans over a decade. In 2015, she served as the Watson Executive in Residence and was a member of the Business School Advisory Council from 2015 to 2016. During her previous term on the Board of Trustees, she served on the Committee on Trusteeship and chaired the Enrollment and Marketing Committee. Most recently, she joined the President’s Advisory Council in 2023.
An accomplished business leader and executive coach, De la Cruz has more than two decades of experience in global leadership, organizational growth and talent development. She spent 27 years with Adelphi Research, an Omnicom company, before becoming managing partner of LM Peak Performance this past spring. Throughout her career, she has built high-performing teams, guided organizations through transformation and cultivated long-term client partnerships.
De la Cruz is also a committed community member and nonprofit leader. She has served on the boards of Marketing Research Institute International, the Bucks County Autism Support Coalition and Autism Cares Foundation, and currently serves as vice chair of the Board of Trustees at Nazareth Academy High School.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and international studies and an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from La Salle University. She is an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach and a Genos Emotional Intelligence Practitioner.
