DelVal faculty member serves as poetry contest judge

Brian Lutz, a Delaware Valley University literary studies lecturer, is serving as a judge for the Main Street Voices Poetry Contest. The Doylestown Bookshop is hosting the contest, which will highlight work of Bucks County residents. There will be a reading and awards ceremony for the winning authors on Sunday, May 15 in the VIA Auditorium at the Health and Wellness Center located at 847 Easton Road in Warrington, Pennsylvania.

Lutz is a former Bucks County Poet Laureate. He joined DelVal in 2006. Lutz earned a B.A. in English from Bloomsberg University in 1998. In 2003, he earned his MFA in creative writing from Long Island University. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in literature and criticism through Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The Main Street Voices Poetry Contest encourages and inspires poets in the Bucks County community, sharing the importance of poetry and the written word.
