DelVal student agriculture ambassadors will be responsible for representing DelVal at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.

The 106th Pennsylvania Farm Show will take place on Saturday, Jan. 8 through Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022. Several DelVal student agriculture ambassadors will be responsible for representing DelVal at the show. Students will be directly involved in several aspects of DelVal’s set-up. The show’s theme this year is “Harvest More”.

Olivia Wyckoff ’22, a horticulture science and agribusiness major and agriculture ambassador, will be helping to set up and brainstorm ideas on ways to make the visitor experience fun and interactive.

Wyckoff is responsible for media, where she will set up a backdrop and encourage people to use it to take pictures and post them with a special hashtag for the week of the farm show.

“I am excited to represent not only DelVal, but specifically our passion for agriculture,” said Wyckoff. “It is going to be a great week full of socializing, educating, and learning, all centered around the shared interest of the ag industry.”

Jacob Kinzer ’23, an agribusiness major and agriculture ambassador for DelVal, will have the opportunity to interact with potential partners, students, and supporters of the university throughout the week of the farm show.

“My primary role is to inform visitors to the Pennsylvania Farm Show about the university and its unique opportunities by engaging in conversation with them about my personal experiences with the university and what it has to offer to many other students,” said Kinzer.

The farm show has always been a tradition for Kinzer and his family.

“Whether it was going to it with my family and friends, participating in it through FFA, or now representing DelVal, I feel the Farm Show is a unique event unlike any other,” said Kinzer. “To be able to represent DelVal at this event is an exciting opportunity to me because I have the chance to showcase and discuss to other potential students, partners, or supporters of the university what DelVal has done for me and my future.”
