Delaware Valley University invites the community to join in celebrating the life of Dr. Joshua Feldstein ’42-’52. The University will host a memorial service for Dr. Feldstein on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Moumgis Auditorium, which is located in the Student Center. An overflow area will be set up in the Life Sciences Building Auditorium, where the service will be live-streamed.

Dr. Feldstein, a DelVal graduate who went on to become its president and one of the most seminal and beloved figures in its history, passed away on June 19 at the age of 97.

His remarkable association with DelVal lasted nearly 80 years. It included periods as a faculty member, a department chair, an associate dean, a dean, a trustee and an emeritus trustee in addition to his time as a student and his tenure as president.

“Dr. Feldstein was a genuine person, a tremendous advocate for students at DelVal, and a generous mentor to me and many others,” said DelVal President Dr. Maria Gallo, who will be speaking at the service. “He changed peoples’ lives. What a beautiful legacy.”

“We hope alumni, faculty, staff and the surrounding Bucks County community will join us on campus for this special service remembering a man who had an impact on generations of DelVal alumni,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski. “This event will be a chance to share memories and pay our respects to an individual who has given us all so much.”
