The graduate certificate in Health Information Systems and Data Analytics is designed for healthcare, general business and IT professionals. This certificate combines the theoretical aspects of HIS and Informatics along with data analytics to explore and dissect the practical components of day-to-day management and application of these skills to inform strategic leadership decisions in the field of healthcare. You will gain exposure to key concepts including an overview of healthcare information technology and its critical application in modern healthcare organizations. You will compliment your understanding and analysis of health information systems with a deep dive into essential data analytic skill sets that can be applied across the continuum of health service and delivery to inform strategic leadership decisions. You will also have the opportunity to self-select pre-determined elective courses that reflect your individual interests and career goals but serve as a compliment to the credential and potential future master’s program pathway opportunities with an emphasis on leadership.
The Graduate Certificate in HIS and Data Analytics is a 12 credit certificate. All four courses will automatically transfer to the Master in Health Administration or Master of Management and Organizational Leadership programs.
