How will I benefit from the Executive Immersion Experience?
The Executive Immersion Experience is the hallmark of the DelVal healthcare administration degree program. Centered on networking, communication, and connectivity, the Executive Immersion Experience will help you develop your capstone project.
You’ll have the opportunity to participate in roundtable discussions, guided case-based scenarios, think tanks, panel presentations, career lightning rounds, executive TEDx-style presentations, virtual departmental deep dives, and more.
You’ll have two Executive Immersion Experiences in our program. During your first, you will identify a practice coach to explore theories, challenges and successes you’ve encountered in the workforce.
During the second experience, you’ll further examine theories, research and practice with your coach. You’ll then apply what you’ve learned throughout your healthcare administration degree program to your project. These experiences offer great preparation for healthcare administration jobs.
Healthcare Administration Master’s Degree At-A-Glance
Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), DelVal’s MHA is a fully online program. Offered in 15-week sessions, you can enroll—full or part time—in the fall, spring or summer. Attend full time and finish in just two years—or take more time and move at a pace that best suits your busy life. Our flexible prerequisites will allow you to advance through the program on time.
Prerequisites for the degree in health administration
For Delaware Valley University’s healthcare administration degree program, there are several options for achieving your MHA prerequisite competencies.
You must complete these four prerequisites:
- Health Information Systems Informatics followed by Data Analytics for Healthcare Managers
- Introductory Statistics Course or Competency
- Research methods Course or Competency
Prerequisites are not a barrier to entry. Students are permitted to apply and, will be considered for acceptance under the following conditions. Coursework or competency exam or, the equivalent must be complete before students will be permitted to enroll in Data Analytics and Impact for Healthcare Managers. Your courses for the healthcare administration master’s degree will be offered 100 percent online so that you will have maximum flexibility to manage your studies with work and other commitments.
Our program was designed in collaboration with Doylestown Health to prepare future healthcare leaders with the skills and experience employers are seeking. Leaders and executives at Doylestown Health designed 50 percent of the core courses and many Doylestown Health professionals teach in the program. Doylestown Health works collaboratively with Delaware Valley University to bring experience from a nationally recognized independent health system into our program.
