DelVal Chorale and Palisades Community Chorus Concert

Sunday, October 23
3:00pm to 4:30pm
Life Sciences Building Auditorium

The concert will feature works for chorus and orchestra by Henry Purcell and Franz Joseph Haydn. The concert is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

Inspired by recent events such as the COVID pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and many acts of random violence around the world, the concert explores the theme of Sorrow and Hope.  Included in the program is Purcell’s Funeral Music, composed for the death of Queen Mary in 1695 along with Haydn’s triumphant Te Deum, celebrating the visit of British Naval hero Lord Nelson to Haydn’s hometown of Esterhazy in 1800.   Enjoy the talents of these outstanding composers, together with a brilliant array of instruments and soloists.
