Delaware Valley University Faculty Recognized for Commitment to Student Success

Delaware Valley University’s Board of Trustees has approved promotions for 11 faculty members and tenure for two for the upcoming 2020 to 2021 academic year. 

“I am grateful to all of our faculty for their commitment to student success,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski. “At Delaware Valley University, our faculty serve as both teachers and mentors for students. DelVal’s faculty members demonstrate every day that they are genuinely dedicated to making sure students have the opportunity to thrive at DelVal.”

The Krauskopf Library

  • Claire Drolet was promoted from instructor to assistant professor. 

The School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences

  • Stephanie Barberra was promoted from instructor to assistant professor in the Department of Equine Science and Management.
  • Dr. Xuntao Zhu was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor and granted tenure in the Department of Food Science and Management.

The School of Business and Humanities


  • Elizabeth Carpenter was promoted from instructor to assistant professor in the Department of English.
  • Dr. Ronald DePeter was promoted from associate professor to professor in the Department of English.
  • Dr. Audrey Ervin was promoted from associate professor to professor in the Department of Psychology. 

The School of Life and Physical Sciences


  • Dr. Jason Downs was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor and granted tenure in the Department of Biology.
  • Dr. Gregory George was promoted from associate professor to professor in the Department of Biology.
  • Dr. Jimmy Mopecha was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Physics.
  • Dr. Edward Sambriski was promoted from associate professor to professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
  • Dr. Christopher Tipping was promoted from associate professor to professor in the Department of Biology.
