DelVal to induct students into international honor society

The first induction ceremony of the Delaware Valley University chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), an international honor society in education, will be held on Friday, April 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the Life Sciences Building auditorium. At the ceremony, 20 students will be inducted into the honor society. The ceremony is open to the community.

KDP was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching.

Honorary Trustee Dr. Jim Diamond ’61 and Administrative Assistant in Education Gillian Ricchetti will be recognized. Carol Aichele, former secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a member of the University’s Board of Trustees, will be the guest speaker for the occasion.

The students being honored include:

  • Kristel Bahner ’16, a secondary education major 
  • Chris Beard ’16, an animal science major
  • Sara Bennett ’19, a secondary education major 
  • Leah Brenner ’16, a counseling psychology major
  • Matthew Burbano ’18, a secondary education major
  • Celina Burgueño ’16, a zoo science major 
  • Taylor Cox ’18, a secondary education major 
  • Jason Doll ’16, a zoo science major 
  • Colin Evoy ’16, a horticulture major 
  • Edward Fronckwicz ’16, a food science major 
  • Sarah Gregory ’16, a secondary education major 
  • Jacqueline Lockwood ’16, a food science major 
  • Joseph McCans ’17, a secondary education major 
  • Victoria Peterson ’17, a small animal science major 
  • Marissa Phillips ’17, a biology major specializing in zoology
