Doylestown Bicentennial Celebration Presents, 'Dr. William Edgar Geil'

As part of the Doylestown Bicentennial celebrations, there will be an event celebrating the life of Dr. William Edgar Geil, "Doylestown's Forgotten Explorer," on campus on Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m in the Life Sciences Building. The Doylestown Historical Society and Doylestown Township Bicentennial Celebration are presenting the event, which is open to the public at no cost.

Dr. Geil (1865-1925) was a world-famous explorer, evangelist, author, photographer, and orator. He documented his travels with copious notes and photographs and produced 10 books. His notes and photographs were donated to the Doylestown Historical Society.
