Dr. John Woznicki to Join Delaware Valley University as Dean of Graduate Studies

Dr. John Woznicki, an experienced academic administrator and faculty member, will join Delaware Valley University as dean of graduate studies, effective Nov. 4.

For the past five years, Dr. Woznicki has served as dean of the Heavin School of Arts and Sciences at Thomas Edison State University, in Trenton, New Jersey. Prior to that, he was provost and associate vice president of academic affairs at Union County College and head of the Division of Arts, Communications, and Humanities at Holy Family University, where he also served as a professor of English.

“Dr. Woznicki has launched or revised more than a dozen academic programs at the master’s and bachelor’s levels,” said Dr. Benjamin Rusiloski, DelVal’s vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty. “His experience and expertise in this area will be of great value as the University continues to expand its graduate offerings in response to our strategic plan’s charge to engage all learners.”

In “Grow Into Your Future: Dream. Design. Do. The Five-Year Strategic Plan of Delaware Valley University,” DelVal identified growth in graduate offerings as a key objective. This fall, the University launched a new online master’s program in criminal justice; next fall, new graduate programs in healthcare administration and agribusiness management are planned. Between now and 2025, DelVal plans to launch 13 new graduate programs and numerous post-graduate certificate programs.

“I have always admired DelVal as a University that truly makes a difference in its community and in the lives of its students,” said Dr. Woznicki. “I am excited to join the DelVal team as we look to continue to serve our graduate students by offering innovative, high-quality educational opportunities that will give them a competitive advantage as professionals.”

Dr. Woznicki has also held faculty positions at Georgian Court University, Community College of Philadelphia, and Fairmont State University. He holds a Ph.D. in English from Lehigh University, an M.A. in English from the College of New Jersey, and a B.A. in English from Worcester State University.
