Dr. David D. Timony, assistant professor and chair of the Department of Education at Delaware Valley University, has been invited to present his original research at The Innovation and Leadership in Education International Conference. The international conference will be held July 5 through July 7 at Mount Royal University in Canada. Kappa Delta Pi and Mount Royal University are sponsoring the conference.

His presentation, "Defining and Measuring Expertise in Teaching,” has been reviewed and accepted.

"My work seeks to capture the essential elements of high quality teaching so we can improve teacher preparation as well as professional development,” said Dr. Timony. “The voices of students are critical to this process because the outcomes of great teaching influence everyone involved."

The conference will focus on leadership for professional growth and educational innovation. This unique event will bring together researchers, education experts, teachers, administrators, education assistants, undergraduate students, and graduate students who have theoretical and practical knowledge of the education of children and adults.

Dr. Timony is professional member of Kappa Delta Pi and is the counselor for the Alpha Theta Gamma chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, which was installed at DelVal on April 29.
