Delaware Valley University's Student Government Board (SGB) honored University President Dr. Joseph S. Brosnan this April with a special Founders' Day award. The SGB Executive Team created a new award to recognize Dr. Brosnan before he retires as president of DelVal this summer. It is a special award that is not usually given out.

The plaque reads, "Delaware Valley University Student Government Service Award presented to Joseph S. Brosnan for his exceptional contributions and tireless service for the advancement of the DVU Community presented on April 6, 2016."

"He gave nine years to DelVal and put DelVal in a great spot to be taken further," said SGB President Russell Desmond '17. "We felt that he should be recognized for the hard work he put in."

The SGB committee that selected Dr. Brosnan included: Desmond, Christopher Beard '16, Katie Goldberg '16 and James Hegeman '16.

"He’s very deserving of this award and I wish we could have given more than just a plaque to show all that he’s done to help DelVal," said Desmond.
