The program continues the philosophy of graduate programs in education to develop competence in careers that balance practitioner-based instruction, and theoretical knowledge with rigorous application in professional practice. DelVal offers graduate students the opportunity to learn from some of the region's top academic administrators and teachers. In fact, 90% of our faculty are practitioner based. You will be taking courses from the people you work for or with, district by district.

- Accelerated seven-week, one night per week course schedule; six terms per year

SIOP - Say What? What is Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol?
Students will take courses taught by experienced special education professionals, offering best-practice instruction and current knowledge from their first-hand work in the field.
This grant allows DelVal to provide:
- A one-year 16-credit accelerated post-baccalaureate PK-12 special education teacher certification program (PA Level I Teacher Certificate)
- Tuition scholarships to ensure affordability for students and school districts
- Mentorship and instructional coaching for program participants
- In partnership with Colonial Intermediate Unit 20
