Education (M.S.) and Post-Graduate Certifications

Some of the region’s top academic administrators and teachers will share their skills and insights with you in this program, designed to help you take your teaching to a powerful new leadership level. Our post-graduate certification programs allow you to grow in your particular area of interest. 


The program continues the philosophy of graduate programs in education to develop competence in careers that balance practitioner-based instruction, and theoretical knowledge with rigorous application in professional practice. DelVal offers graduate students the opportunity to learn from some of the region's top academic administrators and teachers. In fact, 90% of our faculty are practitioner based. You will be taking courses from the people you work for or with, district by district.

DelVal can advance your teaching skills and expand your professional credentials in a format that allows you to maintain a career-personal life balance:

  • Accelerated seven-week, one night per week course schedule; six terms per year
  • Primarily online, some on-site options, synchronise 
  • Certified local educational professionals and Delaware Valley University instructors for all classes

DelVal Awarded the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Accelerated Special Educator Certification Program Grant

Students will take courses taught by experienced special education professionals, offering best-practice instruction and current knowledge from their first-hand work in the field. 

This grant allows DelVal to provide:

  • A one-year 16-credit accelerated post-baccalaureate PK-12 special education teacher certification program (PA Level I Teacher Certificate)
  • Tuition scholarships to ensure affordability for students and school districts
  • Mentorship and instructional coaching for program participants
  • In partnership with Colonial Intermediate Unit 20

New Tuition Rate for Educators

Effective July 5, 2024 the rate per credit hour for courses in the master's degree and certificate programs will be $560.* Registration for this summer session opens April 1, 2024. 

*Excludes the PDE Letter of Eligibility (Superintendent)
