Corporations and foundations are key partners of the University, providing crucial support in a variety of program areas, including student scholarships, faculty research, and facility improvements.
While foundations typically support DelVal through grants, corporations can support DelVal in a number of ways, including:
- Cash or outright gifts (please see above)
- Matching gifts (please see above)
- Sponsorship of campus events, such as our annual Spark Bowl, and the Center for Student Professional Development’s IGNITE and Job and Internship Fair.
For more information on how your corporation or foundation can partner with DelVal, please contact us at 215.489.2397 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A donor-advised fund is an account – managed by a sponsoring organization – that you establish and to which you contribute which, in turn, gives you the flexibility to recommend gifts to DelVal.
If you have questions about making a gift to DelVal from your donor-advised fund, please contact us at 215.489.2397 or email@example.com.
Making a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate that person while supporting DelVal students. If you provide us with the name and address of the honoree or their family, we will notify them of your kind and generous gift.
If you would like to direct memorial gifts to DelVal in an obituary, we ask that you please notify us at 215.489.2397 or firstname.lastname@example.org, and invite you to use the following sample language:
Donations in memory of _____ may be sent to: Delaware Valley
University; Development and Alumni Affairs; 700 E. Butler Avenue;
Doylestown, PA 18901.
It is easy to double or even triple your gift through matching gifts made by your employer or your spouse’s employer. In fact, some companies even match gifts made by retired employees!
To find out if your company matches gifts, simply check with your Human Resources Department, which can also advise you on how to submit the matching gift paperwork. You submit the paperwork, then we confirm the gift, and just like that, your support will go that much further in helping DelVal students!
Planned giving is an opportunity to incorporate charitable giving into your overall financial, tax, and estate plans, ultimately allowing you to create a lasting legacy at DelVal.
To learn more about how you can help transform the lives of students for generations to come through a planned or estate gift, please click here or contact Ann Mossing, interim director of major gifts, at 215.489.4830 or Ann.Mossing@delval.edu.
One of the easiest ways to support DelVal is through recurring gifts, which are automatically charged to your credit card throughout the year in the amount and on the schedule (weekly, monthly or quarterly) that you choose.
To set up your recurring gift, please visit our secure online giving portal and select Recurring Gift from the drop-down menu, then indicate the desired frequency of your gift. You may also contact Rachel Mauer, director of annual giving, at 215.489.2977 or Rachel.Mauer@delval.edu.
Are you a DelVal faculty or staff member interested in setting up a recurring gift? Please consider giving through our easy and convenient payroll deduction program. Simply complete the payroll deduction form and your gift - which can be allocated to the program area of your choice - will be automatically deducted from each paycheck. For questions about the payroll deduction program, please contact Kevin Ladden, director of advancement services, at 215.489.2472 or Kevin.Ladden@delval.edu.
When the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to rearrange our lives, some of us found ourselves struggling and in need of additional support. As a DelVal family, we were able to come together and offer that support through the Emergency Financial Aid Fund*.
As the University celebrates our 125th anniversary and looks forward to our next 125 years, we are asking current Aggies to help grow the Emergency Financial Aid Fund. Making a gift to The Advancing Future Aggies Student Emergency Aid Fund will help support students who encounter personal emergencies that could prevent them from continuing on the path toward graduation.
- Make a difference to a DelVal student like you – click here to make your gift to The Advancing Future Aggies Student Emergency Aid Fund!
- Seniors, donate some or all of your unused $150 Contingency Deposit, which you paid during your first semester at DelVal, by clicking here for the online designation form.
*The Emergency Financial Aid Fund provides a safety net for when unexpected circumstances – such as the death of a parent or guardian, a sudden job loss, or other situations – threaten to interrupt or even stop a student’s academic journey at DelVal. In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Emergency Financial Aid Fund has been a crucial source of assistance for numerous students. Your gift to The Advancing Future Aggies Student Emergency Aid Fund helps us replenish this fund to ensure that it is available for future students who need a hand!
We are here to help! If you or someone you know is currently experiencing a financial hardship that could prevent you from finishing your education at DelVal, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at email@example.com to learn more about your options.
