The team in Student Development and Accessibility Services is here to support you. Learn more about the services we offer!
Student Development supports the Division of Campus Life and Inclusive Excellence by fostering a community environment that promotes student growth and the ability to advocate for individualized needs. We utilize a student-centered approach in our work with students navigating matters of personal, health, wellness, conduct, safety, general welfare, life management, or accessing the learning environment due to a possible (un)documented disability.
Serving in a student advocacy role, we hear student concerns, make appropriate referrals, and assist students and others with understanding the University’s policies and procedures while exploring an array of options and weighing the consequences of a variety of decisions. This is accomplished through collaboration with University departments, community agencies, parents or guardians, and other stakeholders in students’ success.
Through partnering with Student Development, students will receive individualized support, build connections with campus resources, access the learning environment to cultivate their academic success, and make choices that best support their experience to persist and thrive in our community.
Thriving students maintain a positive perspective as they engage in learning beyond the classroom, actively strive to complete graduation requirements, acknowledge the importance of diverse points of view, and build healthy relationships.
