Delaware Valley University's Small Business & Entrepreneurship Center (SBEC), the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce (CBCC), and Startup Bucks hosts Spark Bowl, a “shark-tank” - like competition. The event encourages entrepreneurs, innovative businesses and nonprofit organizations to address social, consumer and business-oriented challenges in and around Bucks County, with innovative problem-solving ideas to support the economic growth and prosperity of our communities.
DelVal graduates have success in the real world because they have already been there. Employers appreciate the hands-on learning that defines a DelVal education. That is why 96.3% of our students from the Class of 2023 are employed, in service to our country or in graduate school within one year of graduation.
100% of DelVal students graduate with real-world experience on their resume through our award-winning Experience360 program (E360). Based on the concept of science with practice, or learning by doing. E360 is much more than an internship program.
I’m grateful to be at a school that pushes me to find internships in my field because, without that guidance and the opportunities that came through it, I would not have known how to begin on this career path.
Through a faculty connection and the experience I gained at DelVal, I was able to land a summer internship with the USDA which eventually led to a full-time job doing what I love as a biological lab technician in the plant genetics research unit after graduation.
