National Science Foundation S-STEM Scholarship Program and Opportunities

About

National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) Program is a federally funded scholarship program designed for transfer students with financial need who are majoring in biology, chemistry, conservation and wildlife management, environmental science, or horticulture.

This scholarship not only awards up to $10,000 per academic year to qualifying and awarded scholars, but it also focuses on the career development of each scholar. By integrating discipline-focused faculty and peer mentoring with DelVal’s award-winning E360 program, scholars gain valuable experience for post-graduation success.

Scholars have the opportunity to attend the annual NSF S-STEM Scholar Conference with all expenses paid. The NSF S-STEM Scholar Conference promotes scholar professional development and networking within their major field of study.

Scholarship Requirements

  • Scholars must maintain Pell Grant eligibility during all semesters of study.
  • Scholars must major in the STEM majors of biology, chemistry, conservation and wildlife management, environmental science, or horticulture.
  • Scholars must be in good academic standing during all semesters of study.

How to Apply for National Science Foundation S-STEM Scholarship

Prospective transfer students with demonstrated financial aid in eligible majors are invited to apply. Applications are reviewed every June and scholarships are awarded prior to the start of the fall semester.
